Answers
- How long does it take to complete a form?
Filling out a form can take from anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours to complete. This estimate will vary depending on how much of the necessary information you have available, how quickly you work, the state you're filing in, and the type of form you have chosen to complete.
If you are struggling to complete a form or have a question about a particular part of your legal paperwork, you can contact our support staff by phone at 1-866-680-5342 or email for convenient customer assistance. - What if I decide that I don't want to finish the form I started?
If you decide not to finish the form you've started and have already passed the billing screen, you will still be charged. However, your progress will be saved. That way, if you change your mind later, you won't have to go through the tedious process of re-populating the parts of the form you've already completed. - How long do I have to complete a form that I started at a previous date?
When you save an incomplete form in our system, it is stored there for 57 days. During this time you will receive three reminder emails from us to complete your form. You may opt out of the email reminders at any time. - Can I get help if I don't understand part of the form? Can I leave a question blank if
I don't have the information it asks for?
If you come across a question that you don't understand or can't fill in, you have three options.
For immediate assistance and clarification, you can click on the "Help" icon near the question you're stuck on. This will bring up a small help file that may be able to better instruct you on how to fill out that field.
If there is no help file associated with the question, you may also email our support staff for further help.
Your third option is to simply skip the question and continue on, filling out the remainder of the form. Later, when the paralegal reviews the submitted version of your form, they will be able to determine what type of information is still needed. The paralegal will then contact you, collect the absent information, and populate the corresponding fields. - Are there forms available in non-English languages?
Unfortunately, non-English forms are not available at this time. As it stands, most States require the submitted form to be in English, but you may qualify for assistance from your local legal aid society if you have trouble understanding English-language forms. - Can I have someone else fill the form out for me?
Yes. You can have someone else fill out your legal paperwork, but keep in mind that the answers they put down will be legally treated as if you put them down yourself. If you choose to have someone else work on your form, it would be advisable to review their work for errors or inaccuracies.
Please also note that because Law Forms Pro has no way of validating the information you provide, and will not be held responsible for the submission of inaccurate or false information resulting in a Court rejection. - What if my form is rejected by the Court?
